Ironic isn't it, that my old NwN server that has literally thousands of different players accounts on it, that never get deleted, regardless of even years of inactivity, has no limit whatsoever on the number of toons you have, for free I might add. And this is a privately owned server. LOL.
IMO, it's akin to theft, and storage space issues are a really, really, REALLY lame excuse for that theft, especially when they reverse themselves and say without saying: "Well, if you can afford to pay for them, then we actually do have the space after all!" "Turns out we accidentally only partitioned 1% of each drive when we first made GW!"

Um, yeah. They say tomayto, we say tomahto, but it's only us getting the rotten fruit.

I play all of my characters! I move the crud they're holding around a lot, but I play them. Hell, even my dedicated mule finished NF >_> I try not to keep too much shit around, as anything you could possibly need you can get in 5 minutes in Kamadan.

I hear ya on the gear movement Jensy, before I got my alt account, I had 2 toons at any one time that could just go out and fight without first having to shift everything over to another toon, lol..

I currently have 2 accounts; one is my main playing account, upgraded with character slots, populated with characters of every profession, and a couple of PVP chars.
A couple of characters are acting as mules, but they take turns depending on flavour of the month profession.
The second account is a mule account, but only out of something to do with it. Bought initially to let me run round with daughter, it'd just sit dormant, It was useful wen XTH was running, but now it's stocked with map pieces, DoA gems, beautiful shells, and multiple spare armor sets from main account characters.

The joy of GW is that there isn't the necessity to have to devote tons of playtime exclusively to one character to be effective, so it's easy to maintain multiple characters.
I'm hoping that that ease will be carried over to GW2, particularly since we'll have multiple species, as well as professions.
